Accessibility Statement - BabyTime

BabyTime inclusion

Accessibility Statement

Care tools should remain calm and understandable across different ways of seeing, hearing, moving, reading, and using technology.

Updated June 10, 2026

Our commitment

BabyTime is committed to making its website and iPhone app usable by as many parents and caregivers as possible, including people with visual, hearing, motor, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is ongoing work. We aim to include it in design, development, content, and testing decisions rather than treating it as a one-time checklist.

Clear structureConsistent headings, labels, controls, and reading order should make care information easier to scan.
Flexible useKeyboard, touch, assistive technology, zoom, text sizing, and reduced-motion preferences inform our work.
Readable presentationWe work toward sufficient contrast, visible focus, plain language, and layouts that reflow on smaller screens.
Real feedbackReports from people using assistive technology help us find barriers automated checks may miss.

Our accessibility target

For web content, BabyTime uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its current target where applicable. WCAG organizes accessibility around content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

This statement describes a target and ongoing effort. It is not a claim that every BabyTime screen or feature has been independently audited or formally certified as conforming.

Website support

The BabyTime website and policy pages are designed with features including:

  • Semantic page landmarks, heading order, lists, and descriptive link text.
  • A skip link and visible keyboard focus for people navigating without a pointer.
  • Responsive layouts intended to reflow without horizontal scrolling at common mobile widths.
  • Text and interface colors chosen for readable contrast.
  • Support for browser zoom and user preferences that reduce motion.
  • Content that remains available without relying on animation, hover, or color alone.

iPhone app support

BabyTime is built with native iOS technology and aims to work with Apple's accessibility features. Current and planned testing includes VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and larger text, Increase Contrast, Reduce Motion, Switch Control, and Voice Control.

We prioritize clear control labels, predictable navigation, adequately sized touch targets, readable care summaries, and alternatives to visual-only meaning. Accessibility support may vary by app version, iOS version, device, and feature.

Known limitations

BabyTime is still being refined. Some areas may not yet provide the experience we want, including:

  • Dense charts, timelines, and summary screens at the largest text sizes.
  • Some icon-only controls that may need clearer assistive-technology labels or hints.
  • Charts and visual patterns that may need richer nonvisual descriptions.
  • User-added photos that may not have text alternatives.
  • New or recently changed features that have not completed manual assistive-technology testing.

These items guide continuing accessibility work. The list may change as testing and the product evolve.

Feedback and assistance

If an accessibility barrier prevents you from using BabyTime or accessing information on the website, email Support@danieldoesinter.net. We welcome feedback and requests for information in a more accessible format.

Name the page, screen, control, or task where the problem occurred.
Describe what happened and what you expected to happen.
Include your device, iOS or browser version, and assistive technology when comfortable doing so.

We will make a reasonable effort to understand the issue, provide assistance or an alternative when possible, and use the report to improve BabyTime.

Medical disclaimer

Accessibility support does not turn BabyTime into a medical service.

BabyTime is a recordkeeping and organization tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or emergency assistance, and it is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on the app for urgent alerts or emergency decisions. For an emergency or an urgent concern about a baby or caregiver, contact local emergency services or an appropriate healthcare professional immediately.

Updates

We may update this statement as BabyTime's features, testing, and accessibility work change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
