Overview and acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the BabyTime iPhone app and the BabyTime website. By downloading, installing, or using BabyTime, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use BabyTime.
BabyTime is intended for adults — parents and caregivers — who are responsible for the information they choose to record and how they share it.
Using BabyTime
BabyTime is provided for personal, non-commercial use to help you record and organize a baby's care. Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control.
When using BabyTime, please:
- Use the app and website only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or website, except where such a restriction is prohibited by law.
- Keep your device secure, since the current app stores your care record locally on the device.
- Take responsibility for the accuracy of the information you enter and the destinations you share it with.
Your content and data
You own the care information you enter. The current version of BabyTime stores its working data, media, and recovery backups locally on your device and does not require an account or upload your care record to a BabyTime server. For details on data handling, see the BabyTime Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for creating your own exports and for deciding where a .babytime file is stored or shared. Keep your own copies of anything important to you.
App Store and updates
BabyTime is distributed through the Apple App Store and is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.
We may release updates and may change or discontinue features over time. Some updates may be needed for the app to keep working correctly on current devices and iOS versions.
Availability
BabyTime is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app or website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. The current app is still being refined and is offered ahead of a wider release.
Please keep your own backups and do not rely on BabyTime as your only record of information that matters to you.
Medical disclaimer
It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or emergency assistance, and it is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of information shown in BabyTime. For an emergency or an urgent concern about a baby or caregiver, contact local emergency services or an appropriate healthcare professional immediately.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BabyTime is provided without warranties of any kind, and the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app or website.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms as BabyTime changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continuing to use BabyTime after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
